Meet the Fantastic ABP Team

A loyal employee since 1997, Kieran has worked his way through the ranks at ABP from despatch to sales and now manages our extremely busy workshop and MOT test centre.

His vast experience with our products, services, customers, and cars is evident in everything that he does. A key member of the ABP team Kieran offers his full support to all his work-mates in both the sales team and the workshop.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

Farming, cars, animals and wildlife.

Dave loves cars and has been involved in the motor industry since he was just 7 working in his father’s motor accessory shop. He joined ABP in 2001 and has since built up unparalleled automotive knowledge and he is well-liked by all who deal with him.

Dave is also motor vehicle repair trained to level 3 so has an in-depth understanding of both parts and more importantly how they work on your car.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

Cars and car restoration, family, football, caravans.

Rich started his motor-trade life with Vauxhall working in a busy parts department. After wanting to learn more he joined the ABP team in 2012 quickly establishing himself as a customers’ favourite with his friendly and understanding personality.

Rich loves cars and has a passion for many weird & wonderful cars that others simply wouldn’t understand!

Socialising, dogs, family, live music, gaming, DIY, cars.

Steve has been a valued member of the ABP team since 2005, culminating in his senior technician role in which he supports our other technicians in a busy workshop. After starting his career with a full Citroen apprenticeship, Steve joined ABP where he has matured and added huge experience to our team.

Steve’s love of cars is quite varied but leans towards old air-cooled VWs, 90’s Fords, Subaru Imprezas and some modern German sports cars. Steve’s enthusiasm for cars often sees him working on his own fleet once he leaves work! A proud family man you won’t meet a more genuine vehicle technician.

Family, cars, DIY, socialising & VW shows.

A relative newcomer to the ABP family but already a very well respected and important addition to the team. Shaun is a car man through and through and was brought up within a family-owned repair garage where he learnt his skills becoming a fully qualified technician and MOT tester.

After 15 years in the family business, Shaun decided he wanted the challenge that ABP could offer, so joined in 2020 and hasn’t looked back since. A love of Japanese hot hatches and supercars Shaun loves the challenge and variation that each day at ABP brings.

Football, fishing, cars, travel, animals.

Another valued member of the ABP team, Harry brings a wealth of VW/Audi group experience gained from his time at an Audi main dealer and VW brand-specific specialists.

Harry also has a passion for MINIs and knows his way around them blindfolded – partially thanks to his own track-prepared R53 Mini Cooper S. Harry loves the huge variety of work that ABP offers but is happiest when presented with any BIG job – think engines, clutches, timing belts, inlet manifolds, EGRs etc.

We have welcomed James into the ABP team as a level 3 workshop apprentice. James started his motor vehicle journey with a company modifying cars for footballers, very familiar with needing a keen eye for detail, James joined us when his past employer ceased trading. Having gained great experience in a relatively short space of time it’s great to have James on board and he’s quickly learning the ABP ways whilst going to college on day release for his studies. We look forward to an exciting future with James as his learning progresses.

F1, rock climbing, rugby and obviously cars

We have welcomed Matthew to the ABP family as a Level 2 workshop apprentice. Matthew has done his work experience with us during the last 12 months as part of his full-time college education. Now we welcome him as our newest and youngest recruit, his first experience of full-time employment whilst he is continuing his education, as always. It’s a pleasure to be able to introduce today’s youth to learn and gain experience from the rest of the team because they are the future of ABP Motorsport.

It would be unfair of us to mention anything other than his beloved silver Audi A2, most probably the lightest (it’s made of aluminium you know) best-handling car there is.

An invaluable key member of the ABP team since 1995, Suzie is ABP’s long-suffering number cruncher looking after our accounts, invoicing, wages, pensions, holidays, paying suppliers and staff documentation.

ABP runs as smoothly as it does thanks to Suzie’s excellent work behind the scenes. Always happy to help, Suzie’s infectious smile makes every day a better day.

After taking early retirement from a career in pensions & insurance, Tony joined the ABP team in 2008 for two reasons – some pocket money and more importantly to get him out of the house & remain active.

Tony is responsible for everything at ABP which allows the business to maintain its high visual standards, from cleaning the workshop, painting the walls, essential repairs, keeping the car park tidy, planting our flowers, weeding our borders and general upkeep of the site. A lifetime of experience, a pleasure to have on board.
